It’s Art Show (& Tell) Time!
We went to Ann Ranlett’s Art Show.
It was very fun.
We saw a lot of nice things.
We met a lot of nice people.
And we bought some nice things too.
There were lots and lots of lovely animal art things.
And my Kind Friend took a very long time choosing.
But here is what we bought on that day.
First we got this picture of Daisy, a Border Collie.
Magpie is a Border Collie too.
She lives at Ann’s house.
Because she’s Ann’s friend.
And she likes to play ball all day long.
That’s like my Best Friend.
My friend Sam is a Border Collie too.
He lives in Houston.
But that’s not near to here.
So we can’t play together.
And my friends Holly & Zac are even Border Collies too!
They love to play ball just like Magpie.
Because they live in England.
But that’s not near to Houston.
Or near to California.
So nobody can play together.
Except here is what Ann said about Daisy’s picture.
It’s a print of an ink on scratchboard portrait.
Ann doesn’t make prints of all of her portraits.
Only some of them that are very special.
And then the prints could be in a frame.
Or on a Note Card.
Or other places too.
It could be on a tile.
Because we got a tile with Bailey on it.
He’s very handsome.
And the tile is very beautiful.
Because it’s blue.
And he is a Wheaten Terrier.
Some people even think my Best Friend is a Wheaten Terrier.
But that’s silly.
Because he is a Standard Poodle.
Except he is a color like a Wheaten Terrier.
Bailey’s portrait is made in ink, watercolor, and colored pencil.
And it’s on watercolor Art Board.
But I still don’t know how Ann can do that.
You can get some things with Bailey on too at these places.

You can even get earrings with Ann’s portrait of Bailey on them.

This bird is called a Peregrine Falcon.
I don’t know if that’s like the Owls in my trees.
But Ann said it’s made in ink on Claybord.
That’s a special name for a scratchable surface.
But you should ask Ann about that.
Because I don’t know about it.
And we are going to frame that one too.
Just like Daisy.

Except then there was something special that Ann showed me.
But we couldn’t get it yet.
So I’ll tell about that next time.

Woof, she’s a very good artist. I think that it would be really great if she did a portrait of you… and one of your Best Friend .. I’ve had my portrait done and the best bit was posing for lots of photographs!!

Teagan!
You guessed! How did you know that?
Ann did paint a portrait of me. And she just finished it.
I just this minute put it on my new post. Let me know what you think.
Did you post your portrait? I’d like to see it?
Hope you are having a good weekend. It’s very nice here. And it’s not raining. I am glad. Because that way I can keep my eyes open ok!
Love from Sammy
