Kudos to his rescuer to have the patience to “wait him out” and allow Samuel to just be Samuel until he was ready to accept people into his life. I’ve known of some dogs who live in good homes and ares still fearful of thunder and firecrackers, and I’ve taken in many dogs who came to me with strange fears (like lit matches), but Samuel’s start in life must have been awful. It’s wonderful to see the progress he has made. It gives hope to all the other dogs waiting in shelters (and who may be euthanized) because of fear issues.
Thank-you so much for helping Samuel become the bright eyed, tail wagging dog that he now is!!
